Same goes for whales, dolphins and porpoises
The Manx Whale and Dolphin Watch is asking members of the public to report basking sharks.
It says 'sightings have been strewn all over Facebook' over the last few days but it's becoming difficult to find the details to log them.
The organisation adds, with a small team on the ground, it would only take five minutes to report and it would rather have 20 people reporting the same shark than none at all.
