Bill Dale says two of his cats have been killed due to speeding vehicles

A local environmental campaigner has backed Andreas Commissioner's calls for new speed buffer zones in the parish.

Bill Dale says people drive 'far too fast' in the village with no care for the rules - which he puts down to a lack of police presence and enforcement.

The commissioners would like to see new restrictions on Burma Road which currently goes straight from a 60mph to a 30mph zone.

Mr Dale has concerns for the safety of children and the elderly in the village.

Local Democracy Reporter Emma Draper has been speaking to him about the issue:

Manx Radio has contacted the Department of Infrastructure and the police for comment.
