Reservoir levels healthy despite dry spell

Data shows levels are comfortably higher than average

As more regions in the UK consider introducing hosepipe bans to conserve water, the Island's supply reservoirs are all in good health despite the lengthy dry spell.

Latest data from Manx Utilities, collected on 20 July, shows all four reservoirs have water levels comfortably higher than the daily average for the time of year.

Clypse, in Onchan, is 99 percent full; West Baldwin stands at 79 percent which is still two percent above average.

Sulby reservoir is 95 percent full and Kerrowdhoo, in Onchan, contains 86 percent of its total capacity.
