Plans for a replacement for Castle Rushen High School and QEII's STEM block are still 'progressing', according to the education minister.
Daphne Caine was asked for an update during an appearance on Manx Radio's Mannin Line programme this week.
She told listeners both are still in the planning stages, and we will not have any confirmation for construction dates this calendar year.
But the minister says she has been pressing for progress since she joined the department in February.
Meanwhile, she was asked the status of funding for the Southern Swimming Pool, after questions were raised over the future of the facility this time last year.
