Poor weather hampers resurfacing work
The section of New Castletown Road closed for resurfacing, from Spring Valley Roundabout to the Bottom of Richmond Hill, won't reopen today as planned due to poor weather hampering some of the work.
The Department of Infrastructure says conditions during the last week or so has impacted its ability to lay asphalt on some days.
If there are suitable weather conditions over the next few days it says we can expect the road to be open by the middle of next week.
The DoI says it's confident the surfacing itself will be complete over this weekend, before line-painting can be carried out.
