The decision to set up a second renal unit, in Ramsey, will take the pressure off Noble's Hospital, so says the Health Minister.
Until now, Douglas has been the location for people who need dialysis treatment but the unit is running out of space.
David Anderson says somewhere new has been needed for some time.
