Social attitudes survey finds majority of young people aren't religious
The religious elements within Manx politics won't change unless members want them to.
That's according to Speaker, Juan Watterson MHK.
His comment follows criticism of the use of religion on the Manx political stage from local freethinker, Andrew Dixon.
Not-for-profit, Humanists UK, hit out at government there after a British Social Attitudes Survey revealed 71 per cent of 18-24 year olds belong to 'no religion'.
Only three per cent belong to the Lord of Mann's Church of England.
Mr Watterson says some changes have already been made to procedure.
