Church closures in the Isle of Man are not an option, according to Bishop Robert who has been outlining his vision for the future.
He is making 78 recommendations on changes in the way the Anglican Church operates in the Island.
They include proposals to establish four Mission Partnerships, to replace the existing Rural Deaneries, and the introduction of on-Island training courses for all levels of church leadership.
Bishop Robert says he knew certain issues in the diocese had to be tackled before he took over his present role, but he is against any church closures (play audio file):
Bishop Robert's recommendations, which follow two independent commissions set up late last year, will be considered at the end of September.
