Festival of Hymns to signal new era for historic group
It’s hoped the relaunch of a historic group on the Island will help musicians and the church come back together.
The Isle of Man Church Music Association, which was founded in 1897, is being relaunched today (June 30) with a ‘Festival of Hymns’.
Anyone who likes to sing is being encouraged to join in with the event which will take place at St Thomas’ Church in Douglas from 2pm.
Leader Dr Peter Litman, who is the director of music, at Peel Cathedral says he hopes it will mean a positive way forward:
