Regulation will raise HGV standards

New rules to be phased in from January 2019

Regulation of heavy goods vehicles in the Island will raise the standards of the vehicles on Manx roads.

That's the view of the chair of the Road Transport Licensing Committee.

New regulations governing HGVs will be phased in from January next year.

Brendan O'Friel says the move is about public safety.
