Reform with responsibility

A senior Douglas councillor says the council accept the need for reform – but that it should coincide with more responsibility.

Although no firm proposals for local government reform are currently in the pipeline, Chief Minister Tony Brown said this week that a more effective system of local government is the way forward and still needs to be addressed.
