Redundancies feature on Keys question paper

Recycling, redundancies and damaged roads are all due to be discussed in the House of Keys today (Tuesday).

There are 17 questions for oral answer, four for written reply, and five bills.

Meanwhile, members of the Legislative Council also have five bills to look at, covering subjects such as income tax, anti-terrorism measures and social services.

Keys questions are dominated by two MHKs, North Douglas member Bill Henderson and Onchan's Peter Karran.

The other North Douglas representative, John Houghton, will quiz Infrastructure Minister Phil Gawne about kerbside recycling collections, while Michael's David Cannan will ask Mr Gawne about repairs to the roads after the snow and ice.

Meanwhile, Mr Henderson is due to ask two questions about government job losses and redundancies.

Among the bills for discussion in the Keys are the Manx Museum and National Trust Amendment Bill, the Road Races Amendment Bill and Rushen MHK Juan Watterson's Breastfeeding Bill.
