Up to 14 staff at Onchan Commissioners are to be made redundant.
The positions, which include a variety of office and outside workers, will disappear over the next 12 to 18 months.
Staff have been informed today with the local authority, which has a workforce of around 50, offering early retirement and voluntary redundancy packages.
