Garff MHK calls for owners to be penalised
A Garff MHK says the 'red tape' needs to be removed to help authorities deal with owners of dilapidated houses.
In the last census, 5,695 residential properties were recorded as being vacant.
Andrew Smith wants to see a rates reform that would penalise anyone owning a building in disrepair.
He says currently it's a difficult issue to tackle:
