Adult service established earlier this year
Recruitment is the main obstacle preventing Manx Care from establishing a long Covid service for children.
The Island's healthcare provider set up a service for adults earlier this year.
Responding to a Tynwald written question, Health Minister Lawrie Hooper says Manx Care would need a full-time physiotherapist and occupational therapist, as well as input from other specialists in order to develop an on-Island service.
He adds that the ability to recruit such professionals is a common obstacle, particularly when other services are also advertising for such roles.
