Recognition for emergency service response to Summerland

But has it come too late?

Many people who were involved in the Summerland fire feel the disaster hasn't been spoken enough on the Isle of Man.

That's according to the chief minister who yesterday formally recognised the role emergency services across the Island played in the response.

In a speech, Alfred Cannan said as many as 28,000 calls were made to police from residents and those off-Island, concerned for the wellbeing of the 3,000 people inside the building on the night.
