Tynwald breaks after July sitting
Tynwald's summer recess can help it's members escape their own 'echo chamber' and do more constituency work.
That's according to the Court's president Steve Rodan.
He says members can't act effectively as public representatives if they don't interact with the local community.
The recess starts after the last sitting of Tynwald at the end of July, and finishes in October when the Court reconvenes.
Mr Rodan told Manx Radio the break can help prepare members for the year ahead:
Sailings altered as 'ongoing dredging issues' lead to 'insufficient water depths in Douglas port'
Manx Care asks all GPs to formally adopt Jess's Rule
Government 'taking rising fuel prices seriously'
Motion to sell Old Castletown Police Station to be put before Tynwald
