Family overwhelmed by support
A fund to help a dying man live out his final days in the Isle of Man has smashed its target in under 24 hours.
Almost £5,000 has been raised for Birmingham man Ray Ramsey, who was diagnosed with terminal lung cancer late last year.
Doctors say the 67-year-old only has a matter of weeks to live.
Hospice Isle of Man has arranged a bed for Ray here, where he can be with his family.
His daughter Sharon set up a crowdfunding web page yesterday evening - it has now amassed almost £5,000.
All money raised beyond the amount needed to move Ray will be donated to the hospice.
She says the support has been overwhelming:
Main road between Peel and Douglas to shut for tree felling
'Targeted and intelligence led approach' to protect Island's borders during Irish sailings
Airport Director role advertised with top salary of £120,000
