Ratepayers views considered

The chairman of Port Erin commissioners says the board will consider the views of its ratepayers over plans to sell the Bradda Glen restaurant.

More than 300 people gathered at Rushen Primary School for a public meeting last night (Wed) when there was an overwhelmingly strong view the building should not be allowed to fall into private ownership.

Earlier this year, the commissioners said the premises had seven tenants since it took ownership and, at each change, considerable expense was incurred in refurbishment works, legal and other professional fees.
