Rare find in Island

The discovery of a plant thought to be extinct in the Island is causing ripples in the world of botany.

A living bladderwort has been discovered in a pond at Ballaugh Curraghs, the first time it's been seen in 15 years.

It's a carniverous plant, feeding off tiny water-bourne organisms and is proof the Island's bio diversity is both healthy and expanding.

The bladderwort was found by Manx wild flower expert Andre Dubbeldam yesterday (Monday).
