Traffic still restricted as DoI awaits design
The re-opening of the Ramsey Swing Bridge to vehicular traffic would appear to still be some way off.
The Victorian bridge has been closed to traffic since January, though pedestrians can still cross.
The Department of Infrastructure imposed the partial closure following a survey which revealed areas of concern with parts of the deck structure.
In its latest update the department says it's still awaiting a design before repair work can go ahead.
As a result there's no fixed timescale for the re-opening of the bridge.
