There’s good news for residents of Ramsey.
Their rates will be unchanged for the new financial year, at 324p in the pound.
Commissioners’ lead member for finance Richard Radcliffe told colleagues the cost of inflationary increases had been contained, at the same time as funding for priority works, through a review of expenditure and proposed projects.
Projects planned for the next twelve months include installing extra play equipment at the Mooragh Park and an upgrade of public toilets to improve baby changing facilities.
Rate bills for the town will be sent out in April by the Treasury and, along with the town rate, will include a burial rate and the Island’s water rate.
