Ramsey post office will continue to to be run from the Courthouse but the central Douglas operation will move to the Spar store in Strand Street.
Isle of Man Post Office annouced today that it has agreed in priciple to appoint Mannin Retail Limited and Ramsey Courthouse Limited to operate the concerns.
Discussions over contracts and changing over the businesses are still taking place.
Ramsey Courthouse Ltd, when formed, will be made up of post office staff, local authority and community representatives.
Nine of the nineteen affected staff have conditionally accepted redeployment within Isle of Man Post and discussions with the other staff and unions will continue.
It's claimed the move will achieve savings of £360,000 a year.
