Former treasury minister thanks constituents for trust and support after 10 years in House of Keys
Ramsey MHK Alex Allinson has confirmed he won't be seeking re-election in this September's General Election.
The former treasury minister was first elected to the House of Keys in 2016.
In a statement on social media, Dr Allinson says it's been an honour to represent his constituents in Tynwald, and has thanked them for their trust and support.
He adds that he's proud of what the Island has achieved, but concedes key priorities such as housing and locally accessible health services have stalled.
He's also vowed to ensure the Assisted Dying Bill gets Royal Assent and set out a progressive agenda for the future in his remaining time in the House.
