An inquest into the death of a 26-year-old Ramsey man has been opened and adjourned at Douglas courthouse.
The body of Kenneth Richards, of Mooragh Promenade, was found in the town's harbour at around 8am on November 25, after a search lasting several hours.
The cause of death was given as salt water drowning while intoxicated.
Coroner Alastair Montgomerie expressed his sympathy to Mr Richard's family and released the body to allow funeral arrangements to be made.
The inquest was adjourned to a date to be fixed.
