Applicants have access to over 800 properties
Commissioners in Ramsey say they're pleased the town has signed up to a shared waiting list for public sector housing, giving their tenants more choice.
The town will now pool its stock with other northern areas including Jurby, Bride, Lezayre, Andreas, Ballaugh and Maughold, giving housing applicants access to over 800 properties.
A similar initiative is being trialed in the east, and has been permanently introduced in the south.
Onchan and Port St Mary remain the only local authorities yet to take part.
