A public inquiry will be held for residents to have their say
A Ramsey Commissioner has confirmed changes to the ward voting system won't be in place ahead of April.
Ffinlo Williams says the next step for the local authority is to hold a public inquiry into the potential changes.
The commissioners are aiming to introduce the new system by the next round of elections in 2029 but will be leaving the decision to reduce the number of people elected, to the future board.
Mr Williams says it's 'bizarre' for half of the town to vote for people that will represent everyone:
