Commissioner Juan McGuinness says residents deserve 'clarity' about ongoing situation
Ramsey Commissioners is holding a public meeting to discuss the issues regarding the town's cottage hospital.
In a post on Facebook, Commissioner Juan McGuinness says the local authority is trying to 'bring clarity' to the situation and has invited CEO of Manx Care Teresa Cope and Health Minister Claire Christian.
He says Mrs Cope has agreed to attend a meeting, but the minister has told the commissioners 'it's not the right time'.
No date has been set for a meeting, but the local authority says people in the north 'deserve' to hear directly what’s gone wrong, what’s being fixed so the cottage hospital can be maintained properly.
The hospital's Martin Ward was closed initially due to a pest control issue in the roof last October, but no reopening date has been confirmed.
