Ramsey member floats purchase option
Ramsey Commissioners can afford to buy the town's courthouse - so says board member Eric Corkish.
He says they do have the resources to pay for the iconic building and don't want to see it fall into private hands.
Nearly a thousand Ramsey residents responded to a survey on the future of the courthouse, with most wanting public ownership of the site.
The board is meeting in private tonight (Thursday) to assess the findings.
Mr Corkish claims there are several ways the local authority could pay:
