Rob Cowell says some local authorities 'playing the game'
A Ramsey Commissioner says it's time for the Island's local authorities and the rates system to be reformed.
This morning the northern town announced it would be increasing its rates for 2024-2025 by six per cent.
It's been blamed on inflation, and also includes a rate contribution of 6.1p for the Northern Swimming Pool.
'There are local authorities that are playing the game and expecting central government to pick up the bill.' - Rob Cowell
