Senior meteorologist discusses wetter than average November and December
The senior meteorologist at Ronaldsway Met Office says the Island's geography makes forecasting rain events difficult.
November this year was the fourth wettest on record, with 176mm recorded; the average for the month is 105.
This month, more rain fell in the first week of the month than would typically be expected for all of December.
The conditions caused issues such as surface flooding and rising river levels, but Kirsty Wilding says it's tricky to pinpoint where the rain will impact the most:
