Martin Clare successfully treated after early diagnosis
A racer who regularly competes on the Billown Course on the Isle of Man is sharing his experience of prostate cancer in the hope it will encourage other men to get checked.
Martin Clare had no symptoms, but his partner encouraged him to see his GP and have a PSA test.
The blood test measures levels of a protein produced by the prostate gland and can help identify potential problems with prostate health.
Martin was subsequently diagnosed with prostate cancer and, after undergoing treatment, has now been given the all-clear:
