
The record for a circuit of the Raad ny Foillan coastal footpath has been smashed by two local endurance athletes.
Ben Scott and Rob Sellors completed it in 21 hours 54 minutes, taking more than three hours off the previous mark.
Setting off from Peel at 2pm yesterday, they and English runner Richard Hurdle went around the Island in an anticlockwise direction.
Richard had to drop out, but the other two arrived back in Peel just before midday today.
In addition to the challenge of doing it, they were raising money for the Children's Centre.
