Hopes BBC will pay for over 75s on Island
The BBC is to be asked to fund the TV licences of over-75-year-olds in the Isle of Man.
It follows news this week that the UK government, which currently funds the perk for UK viewers, has handed responsibility back to the BBC.
In his February budget, the Island's Treasury Minister Eddie Teare scrapped the free licences - except for over 75's on income support.
So could the BBC be asked to pay the cost of licences for elderly Manx TV viewers?
