Survey licence not yet granted
Plans to refurbish the Queen's Pier in Ramsey are not going as quickly as those behind them would like.
Speaking ahead of a public meeting this evening, retired engineer Tom Durrant, who's leading the bid, said they were waiting for a licence to carry out a survey of the Victorian structure.
He's written to the acting attorney general, to try and speed up the granting of it.
Mr Durrant says he and the rest of the Queen's Pier Restoration trust are eager to get started: (play audio)
This evening's meeting is at the Trafalger Hotel in Ramsey, starting at 7.30pm.
