Queen Scallop season off to strong start

Catch limits are set by the Scallop Management Board

Just over three weeks into the start of the Queen Scallop season vessels have already landed 15 per cent of the total allowable catch.

The catch limit for the 2024 season has been set at 726 tonnes, which represents a 20 per cent increase on the permitted landings last year.
