It's World Book Day
The independent initiative aims to foster a life-long love of books and reading among youngsters around the world.
Students in many schools on the Island will be dressing up as characters from their favourite books.
Head of English at Ramsey Grammar School, Julie Owen, says the school has planned a "readathon" - albeit it will take place on Friday.
