MHK says ventilating classrooms by opening windows is making children ill
Children are being exposed to Victorian era conditions in the Island's schools.
That's the view of a Rushen MHK who will ask the education minister about classroom temperatures and Covid mitigations in schools at this month's Tynwald sitting.
Dr Michelle Haywood believes the Department of Education, Sport and Culture should focus on installing HEPA filters instead of opening windows to ventilate classrooms.
She says the current approach is making pupils sick and distracting them from their lessons:
