Crimes only reported six times in a year
Pulrose police station is closing today (Fri) because there isn't enough demand for it - it's been announced.
It was staffed in Heather Crescent by an administrative officer on weekdays to take enquiries from local residents.
After what's being labelled as 'an operational review of services' - it's been decided to transfer that officer to Police Headquarters.
Chief Inspector, Darrill Pearson, says crimes have reported only six times there in the last 12 months.
He adds that efficiency dictates the resource is better used where there's a greater volume of calls and visits.
