Police are hunting burglars who broke into a house and smashed a gas meter to steal pound coins.
The incident happened between 11 pm and midnight on Friday in Alder Road, Pulrose.
Officers say those responsible stole a large amount of coins and are asking anybody with any information on the break-in to come forward.
