LVA chairman says loss of TT will have 'colossal' impact on businesses
Pubs on the Island need more financial support as they expect takings to be down by almost a third for the next 12 months.
That's from the chairman of the Licensed Victuallers Association after the organisation held a series of meetings with the Department for Enterprise calling for additional funds.
Geoff Joughin, who also own the Albert Hotel in Douglas, wants to see a one-off payment to help with overheads, as well as the continuation of the salary support scheme.
He says the loss of big events like the TT will have a lasting effect for pubs and clubs:
