LVA chairman says loss of TT will have 'colossal' impact on businesses
Pubs on the Island need more financial support as they expect takings to be down by almost a third for the next 12 months.
That's from the chairman of the Licensed Victuallers Association after the organisation held a series of meetings with the Department for Enterprise calling for additional funds.
Geoff Joughin, who also own the Albert Hotel in Douglas, wants to see a one-off payment to help with overheads, as well as the continuation of the salary support scheme.
He says the loss of big events like the TT will have a lasting effect for pubs and clubs:
Peel bar impacted by bus strikes
Care funding reform report delayed following ministerial change
Charity plans baby loss memorial garden at Noble's Hospital
New rights for neonatal care leave and carer's leave on the way
