Volunteer monitoring animal until high tide
Those visiting Douglas beach are being urged to stay away from a baby seal which washed up earlier today.
The ManxSPCA and Manx Wildlife Trust confirmed the pup isn't injured, and will be monitored by a volunteer until high tide to see if it returns to the sea on its own.
The charities say seal pups can come to shore after strong tides to rest, and usually return to the water by themselves within 24 hours.
While the animal rests, the organisations are urging those in the area to stay away and not crowd the seal, as well as ensuring kids and dogs remain a safe distance away.
