
Castletown ratepayers have expressed their frustration with the owner of a shopping complex in the town.
Around 30 residents and traders attended the commissioners’ board meeting last night and called on the local authority to arrange a requisition meeting.
They’re unhappy at the latest plan to convert some of the commercial premises in Callow’s Yard into residential accommodation.
There’s anger businessman Roy Tilleard has submitted the proposals after initially withdrawing them to allow further discussions with planners, the commissioners and the Department of Economic Development.
These ratepayers now want to hear from Mr Tilleard, who was unable to attend a similar meeting two months ago:
