Public meeting about elections tonight

Electoral Commission holding number of meetings around the Island

There's a public meeting in Ramsey tonight for people to give their thoughts about how the Island’s voting processes could be improved.

It's the first of four gatherings being held by the Isle of Man Electoral Commission.

The group has been tasked with reviewing a number of things, including the number and boundaries of constituencies, as well as the accessibility of elections, postal and proxy voting procedures, and the feasibility of ‘all island’ polling stations.

The public meeting times are as follows:

North - 25 May in Ramsey Town Hall, 6:30pm-8pm

East - 15 June in Douglas -  St Andrew's Church Hall, 6:30pm-8pm

South - 20 June in Ballabeg - Arbory Parish Hall, 6:30pm-8pm

West - 29 June in Peel - Corrin Hall, 6:30pm-8pm
