Now September 2019 at earliest
The public inquiry for the area plan for the east of the Island has been put back to at least September.
The news was confirmed in Tynwald this morning by Policy and Reform Minister Chris Thomas.
The inquiry had been due to be held in June.
The minister told the Court that the delay would lead to a better outcome in the long run and he would be making a fuller statement at next month's sitting of the court.
He agreed with Middle MHK Bill Shimmins that a lot of people have a vested interest in knowing when the inquiry will be taking place.
