Close eye being kept on UK situation
Public Health says it's monitoring the spread and behaviour of the Indian coronavirus variant.
It's after the UK health secretary says there are now more than 2,300 cases of the strand in the UK - but vaccines do appear to be effective against it.
Matt Hancock says many of the people currently in hospital with it are older patients who were offered a jab but didn't get it.
