The contentious idea that terminally ill people have the right to die will be debated at the latest public meeting of the Positive Action Group, this evening (Monday).
Jo Cartwright from the United Kingdom charity Dignity in Dying will argue the case for voluntary euthanasia.
Opposing it will be former law lecturer Peter Murcott.
Ms Cartwright's organisation campaigns for a change in the law to allow assisted dying for terminally ill, mentally competent adults (play audio file):
The meeting is at the Manx Legion Club in Douglas, starting at 7.30pm.
