
Heron and Brearley are pressing ahead with work on two of their former pubs, both now closed, which back onto the North Quay bus station site in Douglas.
Work has started on re-developing the Clarendon Pub, the former Isle of Man Farmers shop and the Douglas Pub.
Of the three, the Douglas Pub is viewed as the most important in historical terms, with its connections with Peter Heywood, who served on board the mutiny ship, the Bounty.
