Police are appealing for the driver of a dark coloured 4x4 vehicle to get in touch with them after an accident on Prospect Hill.
It happened around 8pm on Sunday 25th November at the junction of Prospect Hill and Athol Street and also involved a motorbike.
The officer in the case PC Bibby is asking the driver of the 4x4 to make contact "as a matter of urgency" so the matter can be dealt with.
Police say they are actively pursuing other lines of enquiry and a number of witnesses have already come forward.
PC Bibby can be contacted at Lord Street Police Station on 631212.
